Since the Qoopa Klub is enjoying a gaggle of new listeners in 2013, I thought I would do some shout-outs to other podcasts I listen to. As well as to some other friends in the gaming/gayming podcast world, cuz you know us bitches gotta stick together. Hopefully some of my other co-hosts will also take part and share some of the podcasts that they listen to.
Okay so my podcasting tastes are wide and ever expansive, I’ll try to focus on the gaming ones first, and then list the crap at the end.
I should say that for the most part I do not listen to podcasts from major companies, I find them to be too vanilla. I really prefer podcasts that come from fans and that are made with tender love and care! XOXO, awwwww sew cute!
Orange Lounge Radio: A weekly general gaming podcast from Sacramento, just three hosts shooting the shit about all things gaming, with a very loyal fanbase. They’re very down to earth and give their honest opinions about the games they love and the games they love to hate!
Outlandish Podcast: This is three guys from Arkansas talking about World of Warcraft and all sorts of other stuff. I haven’t been listening to this show too much recently, just because a year or two ago they stopped playing WoW. But when I did listen it was really fun, I’m really into hearing about regional stuff, like WHAT IS LIFE LIKE IN ARKANSAS?! Can you imagine?
Horde House Podcast: This is another WoW podcast, but with a gay-ming perspective. The four queens talk about everything WoW, with the occasional hot beef injection of Sony, Xbox, and Drag race stories.
Game Bouy: A fun gaymer podcast, 2 hosts double teaming you with gaming news that may be off the beaten path. Spike and Slagkick are fun and tell it like it is, I only recently started listening, but this is a definite new fave!
The rest of my gaming podcasts are mostly WoW stuff, but I’ve had to lay many of them to rest because I’m such a lazy player. I can’t get too much into game theory and other mathy stuff.
Non-gaming podcasts include:
Gay Pimp’in with Johnny McGovern: The funniest podcast around, with your Gay Pimp host and his hilarious/trashy friends. Comedy legends like Jackie Beat, Micheal Serrato, and Nadia Ginsburg also join in on occasion. One of the first podcasts that got me hooked on the medium.
We’re Alive, Zombie Podcast: The hands down best zombie podcast out there, I’d go as far to say it’s better than any crap on TV as well. Following a zombie outbreak in the US, the characters in this story are struggling to stay alive on the streets of LA. The production quality is amazing, the acting is fantastic, and I especially appreciate the great writing. There are so many amazing moments over the course of the show, some harrowing, and others touching. YOU SHOULD ALL BE LISTENING TO THIS!!!
Swish Edition: Three guys in Washington DC recounting the gay news of the day. They’re for the most part fun and interesting to listen to. Sometimes they border on listening to your mom or aunt trying to remember names of celebrities, they tend to forget important details. But they still crack me up, good times.
Two cooking/foodie podcasts that I love are Good Food with Evan Kleinman and the Kitchen Cafe from BBC Radio Scotland. Good Food is a pretty infectious show, Evan is hard not to love, she highlights all the great places to explore in Los Angeles in terms of food, and plenty of cool segments on many cool topics. The Kitchen Cafe is a recent find of mine, a goofy cooking show from Scotland, hosted by Pennie Latin, while it takes a sec to get adjusted to their accents, they have many interesting topics and hilarious cooking segments.
Other shout outs to the Pine Valley Podcast, which is a show devoted to daytime television…which I don’t watch, but the hosts are sooo funny. They record out of their car on a MacBook, usually parked in some bad area of the Bronx in NYC, that alone is enough reason to listen.
I’m also loving the X-Gays Podcast, no it’s not what you think, rather it’s a fanboy podcast about all things X-Men. A very fun and in-depth look at the current X-titles, as well as story arcs from the past.
Whew, that’s all I’ll share for now. I have a few more that I like, but maybe in the future I’ll crack them open. Check some of these out u guize!!!!!

I need to start listening to We’re Alive again. I got pretty far into it and just didn’t keep going for some reason…
*glares at you*….YES!!!!!
Starting from the first one but like it so far. You guys are a hoot.
Yay for new listeners!!! WE LOVE YOU!
It’s crazy how much better we’ve gotten since the first episode, y’all.
